Do your products come fully assembled?

Most of our furniture is flat-packed and will require some assembly at home unless stated otherwise. Each item comes with clear, step-by-step instructions. Some pieces arrive pre-assembled—product details will confirm. Prefer not to assemble? We have

I misplaced my assembly instructions, can I get another copy?

Yes! Many manuals are online. Search your product name or SKU on our website and scroll to the “Assembly & Care” section. Can’t find it? Email [email protected] with your order number and product details—we’ll send a digital copy.

Do you have an assembly service?

Yes! We’ve partnered with Kitset Assembly Services to help you skip the tools and get straight to relaxing. Book online or call 0508 454 873 to learn more.

Where is assembly service available?

Kitset Assembly is available in Northland, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua & Taupō, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, New Plymouth, Manawatū, Wellington, Nelson, South Otago, and Christchurch. Travel fees may apply for areas outside town centres.

How long does assembly usually take?

Assembly time depends on the product and your flat-pack experience. Most take 30 minutes to a few hours. Larger or complex items may take longer—we recommend professional help if needed.

Can I be reimbursed for third-party assembly costs?

No. We’re unable to reimburse costs for independently arranged assembly services. If you have concerns, contact us first—we’re happy to help.

What should I do if a part is missing or damaged during assembly?

Email us within 12 hours of delivery or pickup with your order number, product name, and photos showing the issue. We’ll take care of the rest.

Are your pre-assembled items ready to use?

Yes. Pre-assembled furniture comes built and ready to use. You might need to attach small parts like handles or legs—if needed, instructions are included.

What tools will I need to assemble flat-pack items?

Most items need basic tools like a Phillips screwdriver or Allen key (usually included). Some may need a hammer or power drill—check your instructions.

Do screws need pre-drilled holes?

Some screws are self-threading and may not require pre-drilled holes. Check the instructions for correct installation guidance.

How do I care for my furniture?

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners. Use coasters and placemats. Keep away from heat/sun. Tighten screws periodically.

Can I disassemble my furniture for moving?

Yes. Most flat-pack items can be safely disassembled. Keep screws/fittings in a labelled bag and follow the instructions in reverse.

Is there a weight limit for shelves or furniture items?

Yes. Weight limits vary—check the instruction manual or product page. Overloading may cause damage not covered by warranty.

Can I modify or alter the furniture?

We don’t recommend it. Modifications void warranty and may compromise structural integrity.

How do I protect my floors when moving furniture?

Always lift, don’t drag. Use felt pads or sliders under heavy items to prevent floor damage.

How do I care for fabric upholstery?

Vacuum regularly with a soft brush. Blot spills immediately—don’t rub.

Can I use fabric protectors or sprays?

Yes, but always test in an inconspicuous area first. Some materials may react. Check the label or ask our team for advice.

Do you recommend professional cleaning?

Yes—for tough stains or regular refreshes, especially for wool, linen, or light-coloured fabrics, professional cleaning is a great option.
